British lions to beat south africa?

Who will win it do u think, i would to know your opinon. Just say, who u think will win. Ans be honest

Currently, the series should be about 2-1 to either team.

This Lions team look pretty good, and in the past a Lions team doesnt need to be the best in the medias viewpoint in order to beat the world champions, just as we had seen in 1997.

I don’t know why people are criticising the Lions based on there previous matches and test games. The test games are a chance for the players to gel, to get tactics right for those big 3 test matches at the end of the series. People are confusing a team that looks good on paper with a good team in reality.

The Lions have shown glimpses what there best team can do. As we seen the 2 games O’Driscoll was playing alongside Roberts, we could see how the Lions midfield and backs can tear apart a defence. The Lions also shown they have a great pack as well, which many of the teams they played couldn’t handle. So far during this Lions tour, in the hindsight of other past Lions tour, things look pretty good especially as the Lions now have 6/6 wins, momentum that is vital in tours such as this.

Whereas the Springboks don’t have momentum, there players haven’t played a proper game in over a month, they haven’t played as a team since November, and they arent going to be playing the same side that narrowly beat the Royal XV, there going to be playing an on-form momentum driven Lions side which players like Bowe, O’Driscoll, Roberts etc.

Those of you who have watched Lions tours in the past will know the pretest matches don’t reflect the test games, there almost like a seperate tour. It would be like the All Blacks fielding there first team to beat someone like Romania, rather than trying something different tactically wise.

south africa will most likely win all 3. there is a chance the lions might pull off with 1 win.

but dont forget the lions almost lost to the worst team in the entire super 14. if they continue with that sort of performance then they stand absolutely no chance.

The Boks to win. The Lions have not looked the part against what has mainly been second fifteens drawn against them Very few S14 players have been involved in any of the tour games and two of these games were closer than they should have been.

Lions to sneak the first game, Sth Africa son’t tend toplay so well for the first game of their season.
Then I think it will all click…and the boks to win the series…but Lions to win the first game!

The Lions have looked good on occasions. If I were Jean De Villiers and Adrian Jacobs I’d be worried about facing Jamie Roberts and BoD. Monye and Bowe look good as wingers, Byrne is as good a Fullback as any in the world. Gethin Jenkins will dismantle John Smit at Scrum time and if Euan Murray is fit then The Beast will be quaking in his boots etc’ etc’.

Then we get to the second and back rows. We can’t seem to get our second row pairing right, it’s a given the Paul O’Connell as captain will start but nobody has really put in a performance that sets them apart. Our back row forwards are good enough, it just seems that nobody knows what the combination will be there either. Add to that the likes of Pierre Spies in the Springbok back row… it doesn’t look good.

Springboks. I think the first test will be close, then the Boks comfortably in the next 2. The Lions should have their combinations settled somewhat by now, whereas the Boks haven’t really had much of a hit out yet. The first test could see the Lions leading at half time before the Boks step it up in the second.

hopefully the Lions win the series. But the way the South African players have been playing, it looks like SA will win.

The Boks will do it 3 zip.
The lions will threaten in the first test & give their southern hemisphere friends a wee scare, but the home side will come good & it’ll be business as usual. They’ll push them close in the final match as the Boks will be looking to blood new combos for the Tri Nations.

Lions to win 3-0. Whoever wins the first test should win the series and the Lions are on a roll at the moment and the Boks are ring-rusty.
