Who has been the best BRITISH performer throughout the Eurpean Championship Qualifiers?
a couple of examples that come to mind would be David Healy of Norn Iron for his 12 goals throughout the qualifying campaign, James McFadden of Scotland for his few vital goals notable away in France, Gareth Barry/ Emile Heskey of England for sparking a bit of life back into the three lions….
Let me know what you think…..
mazin’ evrybody is votin scotland - wonder why english?
is cos they can play football, lol, and their manager is not an idiot and most important they achaiving results. that may be an alien concept to mc(BUMHEAD)laren and co. but winning generally helps you to qualify, mot relying on the other teams performing little miracles - you have to big ones yourself.
i would like to add a vote for scotland although big kudos to wee dave healy at N.I. i reckon he might fire them in to the championships, which is more than can be said for wayne rooney et al (the pies)

got to be the whole Scottish team who would have thought when the draw was made Scotland would have been one game away from qualifying and beating France both home and away, hats of to Walter smith for turning the team around and to Alex MacLeish for keep the dream alive

Well it would be unfair to pick one as Scotland as a team have brought us to the edge of glory.
Only David Weir and Craig Gordon have played in the previous 11 qualifiers for us, so they must be up there.
Miller for his unselfish work rate, McFadden for his opportunistic goals, the odd player taking the yellow card for the team to break down a move.
There is no single one. Scotland stand on greatness and we will beat the Italians, we will emerge victorious, and rightly take our place not only at the Euro Chamonships next year, but also in the second seed pots for the World Cup qualifiers, and therefore avoiding the likes of Italy and France and similar in our qualifying group.
24 points in any other group and we would be there. Scotland are the best British performers.
C’MON THE SCOTLAND

McFadden
Scotland were written off in their "Group of Death" and somehow they still have a fighting chance of qualifying. Results against the Ukraine and France defies all footballing logic, but by god i’m proud of them.
In comparison with England who have a world class team - yet they have failed to capitalise on matches with teams they should have massacred and crushed. England should have qualified 2 games ago and it boggles the mind why they haven’t.
Saturday night will answer your question.
