would i look stupid going to a harlequins game wearing a british lions shirt????

By admin · April 11, 2010 · Filed in Lions Rugby · 6 Comments »

i’ve been playing rugby for a year and a half and have finally chosen harlequins as my team to support. im going to the saracens game at wembley and i dont have the jersey yet, i only have the red british and irish lions shirt. would i look silly wearing it?

of course not. Rugby fans don’t need to follow tribes - most people at a match won’t even wear a rugby shirt. You will be perfectly at home whatever kind of jersey you choose to take along (unless it says something like RUGBY IS RUBBISH :P)

Picture of Ryan Jones with Prince William in Lions dressing room?

By admin · April 7, 2010 · Filed in Lions Rugby · 2 Comments »

Does anyone know where I can find this picture? Ryan Jones referred to it in an old interview and getty images, etc. don’t seem to have it! Call it pervy-ness or just keen rugby interest but I want to see it!!!

I don’t he think was referring to himself and Prince William IN the dressing room, it was just a normal picture.

What do you think is the greatest rugby team of all time?

By admin · March 9, 2010 · Filed in Lions Rugby · 9 Comments »

i don’t simply mean the name of the country, but i mean a specific team. for me it would be the 2005 all blacks which "blackwashed" the british and irish lions. i might be a bit biased though. which specific team would go down as the greatest from your point of view?

1996 All Blacks truly awesome team. True greats of world rugby … Lomu, Zinzan, Cullen, Wilson, Fitzpatrick and lets not forget the best loose forward ever Michael Jones.
I was in attendance when they demolished Australia in terrible conditions at Athletic Park in Wellington with flawless rugby

what type of strapping and bandages do rugby players use before they go out on the field?

By admin · January 5, 2010 · Filed in Lions Rugby · 1 Comment »

i want to know how the physios put the tape and bandages on the players because i want to be a physios when i grow up and for self purposes before matches like was it zinc oxide tape that bryan habana had on his legs in the 2nd test against the lions?

Generally, props and 2nd row players may have their heads taped to try and avoid ‘cauliflower ears’. As well as this, 2nd rows and flankers often have a sausage shaped piece of paper or fabric taped around their legs to aid the lifters in the line-out. Other than this, players generally only have parts of their body taped up if they are recovering from an injury, i.e. thumb, or wrist injury.

As for Habana, yes it was probably medical tape of some sort. He may have received a cut to his leg and the tape would be to stop the bleeding to avoid the need for a blood substitution, however I don’t know, only speculating.

British and Irish Lions on EA Rugby 08?

By admin · November 8, 2009 · Filed in Lions Rugby · 3 Comments »

Okay, so. I purchased rugby 08 around 2 years ago and i was really disappointed when i found out that the lions weren’t on the game. However, i was on wikipedia the other day searching for details on the game such as release date and when the new rugby game is coming out. and i saw on the representative team section that the lions were included. Do you have to unlock them or something. I would much appreciate any answers. Thanks!

No, the Lions aren’t in the game at all. The only representative teams are Australia A, Junior All Blacks and the Barbarians.

The Lions are included in Rugby 06 though.

And Wikipedia can be edited by its users so some of the information in it might by innacurate.

Does anyone know a bar in bodrum, turkey that is showıng the lions rugby?

By admin · October 6, 2009 · Filed in Lions Rugby · 1 Comment »

I have nothing to do with rugby but a few years ago some of my friends who visited there with me looked for a pub all night in Bodrum. They found one named Green House Pub. Its a so-called Irish pub which has also an apartment with full of brits. I’m sure they will be watching if theres a good match or you can simply ask for opening it.

But you can ask before going there by phone.

suggested category: Sports > Rugby
ahaha
they’re my fave :)
Yeah, when I was a kid we went to a drive-through safari in Oregon and I saw 2 Lions gettin it on. It was funny. And one of the employees there was smoking hot, maybe that’s where they got the idea? Anyway it made a funny picture.

Great Britain Rugby League.?

What do the Lions have to change to be in with a chance of challenging for the Tri Nations Trophy?

For Me it would be

Drop Maguire
Drop Gleeson
Drop O’Loughlin

Briers would be recalled and put into 6.
Pryce Into 3.Roby into 9
Newton to13
Maid Marrion I am asking for your opinioms you fool.

LILLY has it spot on there.
stop picking players on reputation/which club they play for and out of position and start picking players in the right positions who are on form regardless of who they play for, perfect example of this is the best 2 wingers in super league this season have been raynor and aspinwall who were picked in the squad, but come to the game and we get a guy who has played stand off all season in a team that has won everything this season playing on the wing, why pryce and long werent the first choice half backs for GB when they have been for saints is beyond belief.
also we have o’loughlin playing at 13 where he has for most of the season been poor in a poor side, yet we have the best 2nd rower (wilkin) left out completely so ellis (who has played 13 most of the season) has to move to 12 to accomodate for o’loughlin!

Hardest rugby union tackle.?

Mine, Scott Gibbs stopping Oz Du Rant,Lions Tour to South Africa

I loved that tackle and I’m a great rugby fan from Llanelli, Stradey Park was my playground as a child, but my favourite hard-man of rugby is Sebastian Chabal, the last Spartan:

This is also a good hard tackle clip:
