Good stuff George. Probably agree with your 1st test selection for the backs - if that doesn’t work, will McGeechan stick with the same or what realistic options does he have?

It does seem likely that McGeechan is considering using the Ospreys back three. I don’t think he will have been totally convinced by Shane Williams on Saturday even if the Welshman didn’t have a bad game. The problem is, Geech probably had Earls and Halfpenny down as his other flair options but Earls blew his chance while Halfpenny still has to show he’s fit.
As a default, then, provided Williams doesn’t have a shocker, then he’ll probably start the first Test. However, if either Fitzgerald or Monye can show some real form, they may yet encourage McGeechan to think about breaking up that Ospreys combination. Many have tipped Fitzgerald to shine but we’ll have to wait until the third game to see him in action.
