Hi George,
Just a few questions.
On the Jamie Robers and Bod pairing, while I agree Roberts is a cert for the 12 jersey I also think that they have made a mistake in not giving Darcy More test time.
Ricky Flutey has been injured and he will now not be up to speed regarding his partnership,so I think that rules him out for a test spot.
Jamie Roberts has been having a field day against extremely poor opposition, where his size gives him a huge advantage.
Jean DeVilliers is a huge man himself (basically the same size as Roberts) and could well nulify the threat of Roberts which seems one dimensional to me.
With Jamie Roberts you know what you get and its obvious what he is going to do,I think they need variation and they have made a balls up regarding their centre selections and game time given to their options.
Also if Bod gets injured the only real option they now have is to play Darcy at 13 because Earls is not up to the job in defence.
This looks like one of a series of cock up made by this coaching panel so far.
Also on the O’Gara option, surely its suicidal to play a territory game against the best lineout in the world, where I can honestly see the Lions being demolished.
Personally I think they have to try to play some rugby to have any chance in this series and Steven Jones has more to his game than Rog if they want to run.
I also predict a 3 nil boks win.
Thanks George

Hi George
I agree with comment from David about Darcy reckon he should have some game time last saturday don;t be surprised to see him start the third test.I reckon O”Connell needs to take the ball at pace in the midfield if he does’nt want to be picked up and driven back every time particularly against the test side.O’Gara to me looks to take outhalf spot with Hines and Wallace also in my test side I hope Fitzgerald gets the nod but I see Kearney in with shout also for wing position .On the half empty stadia I wonder is it anything to do with prices being 3 times more than a super 14 match…..!

Hi George,
We’re missing RTE on this tour, these Sky chaps don’t have a word to say it seems.
I heard you commenting on the forwards in mid-field issue before. Are the Lions carrying too much ball on this tour? Looking at the games the Lions have struggled on the possession and ball carrying stats are through the roof in the lions favour and yet these teams are able to keep within a try of beating the Lions.
I thought the kicking was much better from the Western province yesterday than the Lions they were much more efficient.
Also on that point if you look at the game against the Sharks O’Gara seemed to kick everytime he got the ball in the second half. Was it a coincidence that the Lions racked up points as soon as he did this?
Also do you think O Gara is more demanding of the pack? i.e. when the Lions are under pressure. The forwards seem to constantly be in Hook and Jones channel and yet when O Gara played he was in position to dictate and show leadership?
Many thanks George.
