What do you think is the greatest rugby team of all time?
i don’t simply mean the name of the country, but i mean a specific team. for me it would be the 2005 all blacks which "blackwashed" the british and irish lions. i might be a bit biased though. which specific team would go down as the greatest from your point of view?
1996 All Blacks truly awesome team. True greats of world rugby … Lomu, Zinzan, Cullen, Wilson, Fitzpatrick and lets not forget the best loose forward ever Michael Jones.

Well the English squad dominated pretty much everybody in 2001 through 2003.
Really, an impossible question to answer in a reasonable way. There is no way of comparing the different teams (and players) that played in different eras.
Epictastic: what in the world are you going on about? Ireland has already lost to France in this year’s Six Nations. France remains undefeated, with only Italy and a (relatively) weak English squad to face. They have the Six Nations title locked up, with a very good chance to make the grand slam themselves.

I’m not biased but it has to be the Ireland rugby team. We won the grand slam and the six nations last year and set to win it again. England got sloshed last week from us so we’re on a roll…

I agree on the 2005 All Black side, in terms of sheer performance it was a great spectacle to watch. But alas, it was a really poor B&I team, so it flattered them a bit.
I think the best performance was the 2004 NZ team when they beat France in Paris. They were truly great, and Umaga leading the haka was awesome. This, for me, was the best team of the decade.
